An introduction to the thinking behind Civil Engineering. What environmental, infrastructural, cultural or even political considerations go into planning out a town layout?

We begin by brainstorming with the group around these topics and then break into groups to make our town on large landscape sheets.

Join the Junior Einsteins as they explore chemical engineering & electrical engineering

Experiments for the show include;

• Slime science (non Newtonian fluids & cross linking polymerisation)
• Engineer an exothermic reaction with elephant toothpaste
• Plasma ball: light a lightsabre
• Sparks of lightning on our university grade Van Der Graaf generator
• Giant smoke cannons (air vortices)
• Hand boilers
• Engineer a nucleation reaction with cola & mentos!
